MR. BEN ROBEANO SUPERVISOR OF SECURITY AT BIG LOTS WAREHOUSE STATED THAT BIG LOTS EMPLOYEES DO NOT HANDLE ANY FUMIGATED TRAILERS. MR ROBEANO FURTHER STATED THAT BIG LOTS PERSONNEL ARE TRaINED ON WHAT PROCEDURES TO TAKE FOR AN UNKNOWN SUBSTANCE, AND HOW TO DEAL WITH SUSPICIOUS TRAILERS. Mr. Robeano told this to the ag. dept. Mr. Robeano told me in March of 2008 that the dust was put in trailers in china and he couldn't go to China to find out what the dust is. I was asking for a MSDS sheet and he told me this now how can Mr. Robeano make a statment to the ag. dept. and tell them that BIG LOTS employees do not handle fumigated trailers! I had worked at BIG LOTS for 12 1/2 years and no one had ever said anything about the dust inside of the trailers-containers in a safety meeting. They never said it was harmful or how to protect yourself I wouldn't even know what a suspicious trailer looked like and I sure wouldn't know what to do if I did see one this afer all these years. It sure looks like MR. ROBEANO AND MIKE BURGONYNE have lied to the ag. dept. I really wonder what they are hiding the truth behind these lies could be costing employees their health and life. Maybe Mr. Robeano should hop on the next flight to CHINA and see what he can find out.

Now you made statements to the ag. dept. pretending that the dust in the warehouse is dust from the Terminix traps little silver boxes on the floor that no dust could get out of, those dust traps are not in the trailers at all. You could be held responsible for anyone that gets sick or dies from the chemical dust in your warehouse because of the things you told the ag. dept. Lying about something that could damage or kill someone could get you in bad trouble. You have a dangerous chemical dust in your receiving containers-trailers that are shipped from a foreign country a lot of them come from china!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

one day I was working and they paged me to come into the stock office. I went into office you were in office wanting to talk to me, you tried to force me to take off my mask I Refused my DR. had told me to never be exposed to the chemical dust in the warehouse again! I was wearing the mask because of what the DR. had told me and because I did not want any more damage in my lungs! I asked you MR. BURGONYNE for the MSDS sheets for the dust or where in the warehouse that I could find them you REFUSED to tell me where they were! On 6/27/08 I was trying to work and you came out on floor and told me to get off my lift I explained to you that HR.DIRECTOR DREW GORDON had told me what to do when they were blowing the dust out of module you told me it did not matter!! TERMINATION MR. BURGONYE WRONGFUL TERMINATION!!! I think maybe this is against the law you know this could matter to you one day!!!!!! Now we come to the day the ag dept. came to the warehouse to check for the dust. You told the ag. dept. this is what the paper said Mr. Burgoyne asserted that BIG LOTS contracts w/TERMINIX for pest control when necessary. That Terminix primarily provides pheromone traps for monitoring and controlling pests. MR. BURGOYNE YOU STATED THAT THERE'S NO FUMIGATION ACTIVITY ANYWHERE ON BIG LOTS PROPERTY!!!!!!

One thursday you announced in huddle that the stock drivers were not going to have to drive in the modules any more when they were blowing the chemical dust out of the module that we were to drive away, if we had a skid on our forks we were to take it to the twilight zone and that you were going to put us on a different profile until they had cleaned up the dust. On 6/27/08 after the first break my first pull was to module 9 SAM HUMME was blowing the dust out of the module I did exactly as you had told us to do you had me set up on my computer so that I could not go to any other module I took my skids to twilight zone as you had told us to do. You drove by where I was working and I asked you to put me on a different profile you refused and told me to go home! I refused to go home I was doing my work as I had been instructed to do by Mr. Gordon HR Director and by you supervisor of stock department if I had refused to do what the both of you had told me to do you could have fired me for insubordination! Now the real problem here is that I had damage from the dust in lungs and my eyes! Wrongful termination and you are partly to blame!!!!!!!!! Now we come to my eyes and the damage in them from the dust. BONNIE EDDWARDS you knowingly,and on purpose set me up and set me to the modules where they were blowing the dangerous chemical dust not just once but many times. YOU have taken part of my eye sight away from me! Can you imagine how it would be to be blind? You did not care if you did put my eyes out you just keep sending me to module with the dust flying out of it! Do you know that it is a criminal act to have intent with bodily harm, you can probably get jail time for what you did to me I am going to talk to an attorney to see if I can take legal action against you!!!!

Kathy Adams HR Assistant at Big Lots fired me because I am sick from chemical dust

Kathy Adams you were in Drew Gordon's office both times when Mr. Gordon told me when they were blowing dust out of module for me to drive away as fast as I could that NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO WORK IN DUST, that the supervisors in stock would put us on a different profile until dust was cleaned up. On friday 6-27-08 that was what I was doing exactly as HR Director as instructed me to do on my job and you know that I am telling the truth because you were setting in the office listening to Mr. Gordon while he talked to me. You fired me from my job because I did my work just like HR Director told me to. I did nothing wrong except I had damage in my eyes and lungs from chemical dust. How can you terminate me from my job because the dust in BIG LOTS warehouse had made me sick taking part of my life away from me? I wonder how much money the court would give me for wrongful termination because the dust almost put my eyes out and forever damaged my lungs? Have ever thought about how it would be to smother to death? For this you fired me. Do you ever think about Ron? I don't know if you were the person who fired him or not. He was terminated ran out of money, couldn't find a job, took a plastic bag and put over his head and took his own life. If he could have gotten his unemployment maybe he would be alive today. May GOD have mercy on your souls for the way you treat the employees!!!!!!!

Now Mr. Gordon I have a question I want to ask you if NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO WORK IN THAT DUST what kind of horrible chemical are they using to fumigate the receiving trailers-containers? I think that you know the chemical that is in that dust or you would not have said no one should have to work in that dust. Why have you never in any safety meeting I have attended in the 12 and 1/2 years I worked at Big Lots EVER TOLD the employees that the dust could be harmful to your health that we should wear mask and safety glasses to protect ourselves? I almost believe that you could be convicted of murder for knowing that the dust is harmful and not telling the employees , allowing people to work in that dangerous chemical dust and not letting the employees know how to protect themselves. Isn't it awful to fire someone because they are sick from this chemical dust, that Big Lots has taken part of my life away from me, no Dr. can help me or ever change the damage that this dust has done to me. If only Big Lots had told me about the dust and how to protect myself from the damage it has done to me. This is to notify HR DIRECTOR Drew Gordon that if you lie about me ever again, slander my name, defame my charaacter, come to my house again or stalk me any where I will take legal action against you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drew Gordon: someone that worked in your office told me that you told them that I was fired because I did something wrong. The real reason that I was fired is that I have damage in my eyes and lungs from the chemical dust in the warehouse. Mr. Gordon called me into his office two times, with Kathy Adams as a witness, and told me when they were blowing the dust out of the modules that I was to drive away as fast as I could that NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO WORK IN THAT DUST that the supervisors in the stock department would put us on a different profile until the dust was cleaned up. That was what I was doing when they made me stop working on 6-27-08. I was doing my job exactly as Mr. Gordon, with a witness present, had told me to do. Terminated for doing exactly as HR Director had told me to do my job.

Employees of any Big Lots warehouse! The receiving trailers-containers that are shipped from any foreign country to Big Lots warehouses, most come from China, have a chemical fumigation dust in them that is very hazardous to your health. SYMPTOMS OF DAMAGE that this chemical dust can do to your body are: 1. Serious damage to your eyes, whites of eyes and eye lids turn blood red with swelling and inflammation , pulsating pupil, a black circle around pupil that you can see in your line of vision, flashing bright lights in your eyes when you are in the dark. Computer says that this chemical dust can destroy your eye sight and that this damage to your eyes is totality irreversible. 2. This dust can damage your lungs. It can cause you to have emphysema. This disease is a death sentence! Damage to your lungs is permanent and irreversible there is nothing a Dr. can do for you! I also think this dust can cause lung cancer. 3. This dust can cause your heart to beat crazy with heart palpitations. My heart went crazy on me about 3 o'clock in the morning after i got home from work it beat so hard and woke me up and there were tiny knife like pains all around my heart like i was having a heart attack. I know that this dust is dangerous because I am ill from this awful dust. Big Lots never told me that this dust could be harmfull to my health in all the years i worked there. I know the above symptoms are true because the dust damaged my eyes, lungs and almost caused me to have a heart attack. BIG LOTS has taken part of my life away from me ! They also fired me from my job because I am sick from this CHEMICAL DUST! Drew Gordon HR Director in Columbus ohio warehouse called me into his office twice with his assistant Kathy Adams as witness and told me when they were blowing dust out of modules I was to drive away as fast as I could THAT NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO WORK IN THAT DUST! Now this is the HR Director of the company that said this. MR GORDON MUST KNOW WHAT CHEMICAL IS IN THIS DUST AND THAT IT IS DANGEROUS!
